Bright and Shiny

When in doubt as to what to wear, these days, there’s nothing wrong with mixing colors, textures, and metals.  To prove this point (or just to have something to wear out to a cocktail party this past week when I didn’t want to wear a cocktail dress), I mixed some of the most fun things in my closet right now.  The resulting ensemble involved two seriously bright colors, brocade pants, and gleaming silver shoes.  Perhaps, to some, this might seem like a bit much.  But I have to say, it felt pretty fabulous.  It felt bright and shiny (and textured), and who doesn’t want to be those things (at least sometimes).

So, I’d encourage you to try it out.  Mix some brights, some metals, some textures.  You’ll be glad you did!

Happy Monday!
