Pumpkin High

I have a serious thing for pumpkin stuff.  When pumpkin lattes arrive at Starbucks, I get a jolt of excitement (not to mention caffeine).  No matter how much pumpkin stuff I consume, it really never gets old to me.  In fact, a few nights ago it occurred to me that I’d had a pumpkin latte, pumpkin cupcake, and two (small, I swear) slices of pumpkin pie . . . just in that one day!!!  Yikes!!  Then it sort of occurred to me that maybe I’m taking the pumpkin thing too far.  But I quickly brushed that concern aside, because, frankly, it makes me so darn happy.

In fact, I might just go on drinking pumpkin lattes all year long . . . if it weren’t for the fact that peppermint mochas arrive soon after.  And those help me celebrate what some might consider my over-the-lop love of all things Christmas.  In fact, I’m only slightly embarrassed to admit that last year I started listening to Christmas carols on Halloween night, after the trick-or-treaters went home.  But I’m getting ahead of myself. . . .

Back to pumpkin.  I found this candle this weekend and promptly ordered it.  I cannot wait for it to arrive.  Besides the sweet jar, it looks sort of Parisian to me.

And, in the meantime, I’ll be nursing my pumpkin lattes.  I’d like you to join me.  Post a comment below (about your love of pumpkin items, what you’re inspired by these days, or any other subject that strikes your fancy), and you’ll be entered in a random drawing for a $25 Starbucks gift card.

Then we can sip our favorite drinks together (in spirit, at least).

I have pumpkin coffee at least 2 time a week! Loveeeee it!

  • I have never had pumpkin lattes before! They definitely didn’t have them in the UK, and I am not sure they will have them here in Mexico! Although I cannot wait to have some pumpkin pie.

We are having loads of other food goodies coming up with Day of the Day!
