Pattern Plays

I’m getting bolder about mixing prints, and then chilly air made me even bolder.  So, one night last weekend, I loaded on all the cream and navy that I had and piled it all atop my person.  I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome.  Sure, I was wearing stripes, scarf print, and plaid (times two or three), but I felt like a zillion bucks.  My high might have had something to do with being able to get ready for the evening without having to referee any fights or wipe any boogers off my clothing, but I attributed it, at least in part, to my crazy print mixing.

It seems there are some advantages to flying blind, wearing as many similarly colored prints as one owns: a strange sort of high akin to the one you get after you run a race (I would guess) or complete an intense yoga class (but without the sweating) comes over you and makes you feel like you’re mildly unstoppable.  I highly recommend it.

Hahaha!!! So true! I guess that once red fell, navy was next. I suppose now I’ll wear anything but brown. 🙂

It was a wonderful time. It already seems like a distant memory. 😉
