When I found out I would be coming to New York for part of Fashion Week, I was simultaneously elated and terrified. How would I dress in the cold? I worried that after living in San Francisco’s temperate climate for a while, I’d be totally ruined to winter (after all, I hadn’t even dealt well with it when I knew no better).
Well, here’s what I have to report: It’s super cold. And yet, thus far, I’ve managed thanks to a few things: cabs (they have helpfully ensured that I’ve never been outside for too long), this scarf (that I may or may not be wearing in my hotel’s bed as I type this), and wearing flats, which also enable me to move quickly from one destination to another.
So far, so good. And, I think adding a bunch of color might just have a warming effect as well. I’ll try just about anything.
Jacket: Carven / Scarf: Denis Colomb / Dress: Peter Pilotto (similar here and here; and I love this lower-priced option) / Tights: Wolford / Shoes: Valentino

Hope you’re having a great trip!!!
Love your outfit, especially the jacket! It’s a great contrast of feminine (lavender) and an edgy moto jacket.
