Away from home traveling with our kids for Winter break, I realized too late that I’d forgotten a pair of dressy shoes for a dinner out. So I went to the one shoe store in the area and looked hopefully about in search of a pair that would work with the clothes I’d brought and dress them up (but without ten-inch platforms or other wildly not-me bells and whistles).
I found this pair by Chinese Laundry and was pleasantly surprised by their metal toe design and relative simplicity. And they looked nice with my Proenza Schouler PS13 bag (a new and modern ladylike bag by the Proenza Schouler boys that has captured my dreams lately). Together, the two pulled together my simple outfit of black jeans, long tee, and cardigan, making it all seem more planned than it was. I love when that happens, don’t you?
