Last night was one of my favorite nights of the year: the annual Posse Gala. It celebrates the achievements of the Posse Foundation, which helps place extraordinary public high school students in college with ten of their peers (their “posse”) and then supports them throughout their college career. The accomplishments of Posse’s students and alumni are incredible and inspiring (last night they honored their first alumna who has become a CEO!!).
Founded by Debbie Bial twenty-four years ago (when she was just 24 years old!), Posse is an amazing organization, which now partners with forty-four colleges throughout the country and has nearly 5,000 alumni who have accomplished amazing things. I always walk away from the event inspired.
And this year I also walked away from the event dancing, because Bruno Mars played, and he and his band were astonishing! The Posse Gala is always incredible fun, but last night it was also rocking!!
