Jumpsuits make me happy, that’s all there is to it. They seem to make the Wall St. Journal happy too, as they ran a piece on them this weekend. I recently slipped into last year’s jumpsuit (proving they’re not a passing fad), paired it with heels, and headed out on the town.
It got me to thinking about what it is that makes jumpsuits so awesome. After all, it seems counterintuitive that a piece of clothing designed for its ease and worn most frequently by mechanics and babies would look flattering on a grown woman. And yet, somehow they do. Somehow jumpsuits make you feel pulled-together and fabulous, hiding any mid-area problem zones, and leaving plenty of room for a feast. If I were describing the perfect piece of clothing, this would sum it up.
So, I’ve culled a bunch of fabulous jumpsuits for our perusal. Because once you embrace them and realize how many occasions they work for, you might feel like you need more than one (especially because many of them are on sale!).
