So we’ve arrived on the East Coast, and so far, it’s everything I dreamed it would be. Warm (mostly), sunny (a lot of the time, anyway), and even a bit humid, which I’m actually enjoying (but perhaps only because I can easily escape it indoors).
It’s also been an excuse to catch up with friends and family (who start arriving later this week). It’s super exciting to reconnect with some of my dearest friends, whom I do not get to see enough. That’s what I was doing on this warm summer night, in my neon jacquard dress, which I’ve been saving up for just such an occasion. If I were in San Francisco, I’d be wearing it with a jean jacket, or maybe leather (and my legs would probably be freezing. Not that I let that stop me half the time, but still, wearing sandals would likely be too big a stretch in the chilly summer fog).
But since there’s no fog to be seen where I’m at right now, I’m pulling out all my little dresses. Because they deserve some play.
