Today is a big day in our house. We have a parent-teacher conference for our first grader, and a secret behind-the-double-sided-mirror viewing of our preschooler. I don’t think there will be any surprises at the conference, but the preschool viewing should be fascinating. I can’t even imagine what we’ll see. But, I have to say, I’m kind of looking forward to it.
By the way, I saw a really fab movie last weekend. It’s called About Time, and it’s by the writer of Love Actually and Notting Hill. It’s a really charming and surprisingly thought-provoking movie about a guy who is told by his father on his 21st birthday that the men in his family can travel back in time. The results are sweet and inspiring, and I’ve thought a lot about it since we saw it (which is always a really good sign). I highly recommend it.
Happy Thursday! And wish us luck behind the double-sided mirror. . . .
