I’ve been crushing on pink coats since they walked down the runways many months ago. I’ve worn them myself many times (including here), and just when I thought the more traditional holiday colors had overtaken my newfound affinity for the girlish hue, I saw this picture of Aimee Song, wearing her pink coat (which is currently on sale!!) perfectly.
It has me rushing to get a pink coat onto my back. And, in case you haven’t yet partaken of this particular trend, I have two bits of good news for you: 1) there are still plenty of options to be had, and 2) pink isn’t going away anytime soon. It was seen again on the runways for Spring, and therefore will be sticking around for some time.
I couldn’t be more grateful. Pink still feels fresh and different in its current incarnation (rather than in some of its past treks through our consciousness, when it sometimes felt more childish and less sophisticated), and I swear it helps take some of the sting out of the chilly air. Maybe because it’s traditionally a Spring hue, pink can trick you into thinking it’s warmer than it is. Or maybe that’s just what I’m choosing to tell myself as the Bay Area experiences its coldest temperatures in fifteen years.
Whatever it takes, right?
Here are some glorious pink coats for you. . . .
