The Hottest Pinks

Hot Pink Lips

Now that I’ve braved the world of bright red lips, I’m ready embrace another similarly bright hue.  And I’ve decided hot pink is next.  After all, hot pink is punchy, Springy, and, well. . . hot.

And, while I’m delving into bright pink, I’ve decided why not just go for the brightest of the options?  So I’ve found some of the hottest, poppiest pinks.  I’ve already tried Nars Yu and love it (it is, after all, one of Nars Velvet Lip Pencils, which helped me make the foray into bright red– if you haven’t tried these lip pencils (which are really more like crayons), you must.  They are perfectly smooth and easy to apply.  And somehow they go on a thousand times easier than lip pencils of yore, which were easy to mess up and hard to keep within the lines of your real lips.  Plus, they’re like lip pencil and lipstick in one, so you only have to swipe on one product and go.).  I got tons of compliments on it the day I wore it, which helped spur my bravery.

Next up, I’m excited to try Chanel La Diva (which looks just slightly neon-ier) and Nars Carthage (a matte lipstick).  With so many options, applications, and consistencies, I look forward to discovering my favorite.

How about you?  Are you a hot pink person?  Have you tried these shades?  If not, will you try them with me?

Let me know what you think.  About pink.  (Or about Beyoncé’s performance last night.  Or whatevah.)

Happy Monday!

  • I adore the idea of branching out of your lipstick comfort zone. I snagged a tube of Bare Minerals Moxie “Risk It All” lipstick at an Alt party and it’s on par with this post color wise. The color is on point, but it also feels like you’re wearing chapstick. I highly recommend it.

    • Ooh, I’ll have to check that one out. Thanks for the recommendation, Vanessa!
