Sometimes when you’re ready for Spring but the weather is not, there is only one solution: put pants on under your dress.  It accomplishes many goals: warmth, coverage, stylishness, and a the allure of a certain je ne sais quoi.  It makes you seem interesting, I think.  An out-of-the-box thinker, if you will.

Or so I like to tell myself.  This outfit arose because I was feeling lazy in the fitting room and didn’t feel like removing my pants while trying on the dress.  I was beyond surprised and delighted to see it actually worked as an outfit.  Don’t you love the rare instance when laziness leads to stylishness?  I do.

I also love the resurgence of Birkenstock-like footwear, in new and interesting guises.  I love when comfort and stylishness intersect (especially since one might argue they don’t always do so).  Here’s to laziness and comfort!
