Happy 2014!! I hope your new year is off to a wonderful start! We rang in the New Year with our children before heading out for an adult dinner. So we got to celebrate it a few times, which was seriously fun. I love celebrating, and it’s even better, in my book, when the celebration goes on and on.
I also compiled some of my favorite photos from 2013 into a slideshow using an App that is one of my favorite new finds. It’s called Flipagram (which you can find in the iTunes store). It allows you to easily assemble slideshows (complete with your favorite music). You can see mine here.
I’m so looking forward to the new year. I’m a year away from a milestone birthday, so this feels like the perfect time to kick things into high gear. It’s exciting to have a reason to amp life up and live it to its fullest. I have a sense lately of how fast life goes, and I want to get as much out of it as possible. To that end, I plan on working on eating more healthily this year; and for once, it doesn’t feel like a drudgery, but something I’m genuinely looking forward to.
Maybe it’s because I’ve found, this past year in particular, that when I pushed ahead toward something, even something I worried I’d loathe, I usually found that the exact opposite was true. Just this morning I did something I swore I hated– hiking– and it turned out that I loved it. I’m looking forward to getting back home and exploring some of the great hiking opportunities in the Bay Area.
What about you– what are you looking forward to this year?
