A Few Things I’m Loving Right Now

a few things

This happens to be the glittering, glowing, sparkling edition of Things I’m Loving, as you’ll see shortly.  It wasn’t intended to be thematic, but we all need some sparkle in our lives sometimes, don’t we?

I love few things more than when a blog I love becomes a book.  The Glow is an inspiring look into the lives of mothers, and one of those sites I can get lost in for ages.  The book (The Glow: An Inspiring Guide to Stylish Motherhood) shares a lot in common with the site: light-infused photos, behind-the-scenes looks into the lives of fashionable mothers, and their recommendations for all kinds of things that make their lives easier and more beautiful.

I have a bit of an obsession with sparkling water, and I finally made my life easier by buying a SodaStream carbonated drink maker.  Gone are the days of lugging around heavy bottles of sparkling water.  Now with my SodaStream machine, I can make my own sparkling water from regular tap water.  Color me excited.  (You also can get drink mixes for the machine that make soda, diet soda, etc., so this one machine has your carbonated beverage needs covered.)

I’m always looking for new clothes to wear for workouts that are a little bit fun and different.  So when I heard about Phat Buddha’s glitter workout pants, I couldn’t wait to try them on.  They come in one size to fit most people, and they are indeed sparkly.  Luckily, they come with a non-sparkly lining, so that they don’t feel scratchy.  I look forward to feeling bold enough to wear these to a workout class.  There’ll be no missing me.

Have a happy (and sparkly) weekend!

Can’t wait to read The Glow. And I have long toyed with a sodastream for my Perrier-loving husband. How do you like it? Meanwhile I wish I could pull of glitter spandex!! xox

    • I am so excited about the Sodastream, Lindsey! And I was prepared not to like it, because I am such a creature of habit and love sparkling water so intensely. If it hadn’t been up to snuff, I would have given it away in a second. But my favorite thing about it (other than the ease), is that you can regulate the level of fizziness. So I actually like the sparkling water from it more than the store-bought variety, because I can make it extra sparkly.

And I assure you you can pull off the glitter leggings. I worried that they would look crazy (and unflattering) on me, because glittery legs tend not to be slimming, but somehow they just look fun (and perfectly flattering). I think you’d be surprised too.

      Have a great weekend!
      xx,
