Scenes From A Weekend

April Weekend 1

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  Here are some scenes from mine.  First up, my son with his first real bike, riding around with glee (and what he calls his “safety hat”).  It was such fun to watch him pick up speed and confidence as he jetted around our backyard and our block.

April Weekend 2

Here’s what I had on my feet on Saturday.  Essie’s neon pink polish, and my leopard slides (similar here) that I can’t get enough of.  Both make me happy, in the dance-to-Pharrell’s-song-Happy kind of way.

April Weekend 3

This was the delicious dinner my husband made for us on Saturday night.  We had planned to go out to dinner with friends, but our daughter caught a horrible stomach bug, so we stayed in to take care of her.  We missed our friends, but this meal helped take the sting off the change in plans.

April Weekend 4

Followed by this ice cream.  Holy mother, it’s good.  Lavender ice cream has been my favorite since I tried it over a decade ago, but it can be hard to find.  Well, I finally tracked some down, and by the maker of some of the best ice cream in San Francisco.  Mmmmmmmm, good!!

April Weekend 5

And here’s our little girl feeling much better on Sunday morning.  What a relief!!

April Weekend 6

I always love this view, and I was so happy to take it in on a walk through the neighborhood on Sunday.  It never ceases to take my breath away.

April Weekend 7

Here are the results of our kids’ Easter egg hunt.  They loved it so much that they kept hiding the eggs again and again for each other to find them.

Here’s to a great week!!
