These are a whole bunch of things I’m excited about right now, and I am thrilled to share them with you! They’re the things I’m wearing, eating, reading, . . . and even smelling these days.
Clockwise from top left:
Aquiesse Luxe Linen Candle— This thing smells soooo good that I can’t wait to light it each night when I climb into bed (where I work, read, etc. for hours). It reminds me of a candle I loved for years but was discontinued (which left me minorly heartbroken). Now that I’ve found this candle, I feel the need to stockpile loads of them, just in case this one meets the same end. It’s divine. Its fragrance is described as “sun bleached linen, herbal tea, and smooth sandalwood,” but to me it just smells like heaven. Aaaand, the coolest thing about this candle line is that they’ve done something ingenious– they’ve put a secret compartment in the lid that has matches in it, so you always have them when you need them. Love it!! (There’s also this awesome glass version, for when you’re not traveling.)
Kevin Aucoin Tropical Nights Bronzer— I have fallen hard for this bronzer. Not only is it the best one I’ve ever tried, I wear it now instead of blush (rather than along with it). It is the perfect hue that adds enough concentrated color to look bronze without looking orange or unnatural. You end up looking completely glowy, which is always my goal. Now I actually achieve that goal on a daily basis.
All Fall Down— I am so into this book, by Jennifer Weiner. In fact, I’m kind of exhausted from it keeping me up night after night. The story is about Allison, a blogger and mother who has a bit of a problem with prescription painkillers. I am still mid-way into it, but I’m dying to see how it’s all going to end up. It’s a perfect summer read!
Citizens of Humanity Emerson jeans— I’ve woken up every day lately praying it’s cool enough to wear these jeans. They are sooo comfortable (with a perfect amount of stretch), and they have a really cool look to them. They’re described as a “slim boyfriend” jean, but I think they look even better uncuffed at the bottom (whereas I think of boyfriend jeans as best cuffed at the bottom). These are my new faves! (They run large, size down one size.)
Juice Press Kale Chips– So, I’ve devoured a container of these every day this week. They’re delicious– the best kale chips I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried a ton and made my own). The container says they’re tangy-ish and spicy-ish, and that is an apt description (with both lime dressing and cayenne pepper, among other seasonings). Plus, they’re sooo good for you (and only 60 calories). They’re the perfect snack, as far as I’m concerned. [But, sad news, they’re only available in Juice Press stores, so you probably should get yourself to NYC or the Hamptons soon! Or maybe your best friend in New York could send you a care package?]
