We’ve spent a few quick, but glorious, days in Boston. We’ve visited old haunts and new places, and each has been better than the last. Some spots that we used to frequent have been even better than I remembered (like Monica’s and Mike’s Pastry, both in the North End– after years away, they’re even better than I remembered), and tonight we went to Island Creek Oyster Bar, which was delicious. I had my first lobster roll of the season, which is always an event to be celebrated.
We’ve also spent time at the Boston Public Garden (pictured above), taken a Duck Boat tour, played in the fountain outside the Christian Science Museum, eaten lunch at Figs, and been tourists in the city we lived in for so long (and which I still consider my hometown). I’ve loved every minute of it.
And now it’s time to move to the next (and final) location of our summer tour. Onward!
