This latest installment of A Few Things I’m Loving Right Now is making me quite happy. Here are three items that are rocking my world as we speak.
First of all, the cookbook from Hemsley and Hemsley, sisters Melissa and Jasmine Hemsley, who are London-based nutritionists and food consultants to high-profile clients (including many in the fashion, beauty, and wellness industries). They focus on making delicious food from whole, organic, and nutrient-filled ingredients which are “free of grain, gluten, high starch and refined sugar.” After reading rave reviews of the sisters and their cookbook, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I made my first recipe from it tonight (Baked Broccoli Fritters and Spicy Avocado Dip)– holy yum!– and I am so excited to try out the other recipes. It’s exciting to find a cookbook based on really delicious and healthy food.
Next up, the best foundation I’ve found in forever. For some reason, I’ve been trying a ton of foundations lately. This one is, hands down, the winner. And by this one I mean Lancome Nude Miracle. It has an amazing consistency which goes on as a liquid and gets a super light powdery texture when applied to your skin. It is described as having “ground-breaking soft focus technology” which minimizes signs of fatigue, lines, and wrinkles and is truly worth all that hype. I like that it is buildable (so that you can layer it for enhanced coverage), and it feels so darn good, you really want to put it on because somehow your skin feels even better with it on. Don’t ask me how that’s possible, just try it and see for yourself.
Finally, there’s Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener, which is highlighted in this super helpful video, “How to Look Less Tired in 1 Quick Step.” It’s totally worth watching for a few reasons: (A) Who doesn’t want to look less tired? (B) And in only one quick step? And (C) it’s a technique which I’d never heard of before. Again, it seems to good be true, but so help me if I haven’t been using that one quick step ever since I laid eyes on it.
