I recently bought my third copy of Tina Fey’s book Bossypants. I couldn’t find the other two copies; I’ve probably lent them out to friends, because I rave about the book all the time. I’ve read it twice and both times laughed until I cried. Tina Fey is simply hilarious. She cuts through all aspects of life with an intelligence, self-deprecation, and wit that are completely disarming (and which make her seem like the perfect celebrity addition to my roster of friends). I have a feeling I’ll be rereading her book (and any others she pens) throughout the course of my life.
Her friend Amy Poehler is similarly hilarious (and also seems like she’d be a rad friend to hang out with). And she, too, has a book coming out. Tomorrow, in fact. I pre-ordered it months ago and am anxiously awaiting its delivery. I could use a huge laugh. I’m hoping (and expecting) that I’ll love it as much as Tina’s.
Thank goodness for these funny ladies. This world wouldn’t be nearly as funny without them.
