Layers Upon Layers

Layered Outfit

Layered Outfit details

This time of year calls for layers (and perhaps a snow shovel, depending on where you live).  All the better if the layers include an ethereal and whimsical layer like this Raquel Allegra dress.  It adds an entirely different dimension to black leather pants and a white asymmetrical sweater.

And both easily go from day to night with a quick change of bag and shoes.  In fact, even without the change, I wore this all day through meetings and appointments and then out to dinner with my husband.  If that’s not the best kind of outfit, I’m not sure what is.  But I’m sure I’m going to keep wearing this until I think of some other things to layer it with.

Which, I’m sure, won’t take long.

i love everything about this look. so effortless and easy. i’ve always wanted to try something similar, but getting that longer layer right is key and you’ve done it. and since the base is black and white, you could really go in any way with the accessories.

    • Thank you so much, Kim! I think that dress is so unique and awesome for pairing with a million things that I think I’m going to get the black as well. There are so many options for mixing it up in every season. Soo good! And I love that you’re always thinking about accessories. I need to do more of that!

  • Those black shoes are TDF! I saw someone at Alt with your Celine “Happy” necklace, it made me think of you. Are you planning on attending any conferences in 2015?

    • Thank you so much, Vanessa! I was thinking of you the whole time you were at Alt. How was it? I’m thinking of going next year. Will you go?

I’m dying to hear about it. . .
