Now that’s it’s been determined that leopard is a neutral, and I’ve experimented with mixing it with all numbers of other prints, it seemed like it might be time to cross into a whole new territory– two types of leopard together. This might not sound like rebellion to you, but for me (rule follower, that I am), it was.
Too much animal print can easily be . . . well, too much. It can call to mind a certain Vegas-y cheesiness that is reserved for wild characters in movies (and certainly doesn’t recollect any reference to Jackie Kennedy, no matter how modern the guise.) But somehow, I think this combination works. And with a sweater in two shades of blue (and jeans in a third), it only gets cozier and more lovely.
I think I may be rewriting another one of my long-held rules.
