*Okay, wish might be too strong a word. But, given that I’m currently in Hawaii, and San Francisco has had a super-mild winter, there hasn’t been much need for sweaters or massive amounts of cold-weather layering.
But, given that I’ve been monitoring the weather back East like a hawk (what with NYFW and so many of my friends and family being back there), and given that I’ve been monitoring the street style during fashion week, my eyes have become accustomed to cold weather gear. And I’m kind of wishing I had an occasion to wear this outfit. A wool tunic dress over leather pants. Maybe with a shearling coat thrown on top. . . . And a black turtleneck under if it’s freezing.
Given my disdain for cold temperatures and my deep empathy for anyone living through this coldest of winters, it’s strange that my sartorial thoughts would be leaning in this direction. But I guess it’s to be expected, given the scenario I’ve outlined above.
So, anyone with the chance to wear the above right now, you are the object of my envy.
Have a happy weekend!
