Military Influence

Kara Mercer: Alex 2/26 blog &emdash;

It seems as though military jackets went out of style for a hot second.  Because I couldn’t find one to replace the one I adored and gave to my mother, thinking it would be no problem to find a replacement.  I searched high and low, but came up dry.

It was quite sad because I had gotten into the habit of wearing one every morning.  San Francisco requires a coat most mornings of the year, and my military jacket had become my go-to.

Flash forward to now, and they are back!!  There are so many cool ones out there too that I might be considering stocking up so that I never have to wonder what to throw on over nearly every outfit on my way out the door in the morning.

    I bought one at the end of the summer, and I basically wore it all fall until it got too cold in NH to wear it! I absolutely love it, and I think I got the idea from you, as I have seen you wear it before

    • Brooke, I love this! Pretty soon, it’ll be warm enough for it again! 🙂

  • You’re always so effortless chic! I love how those flats, with their refined style, complement yet also contrast with the broader-styled military influence.

    • Thank you so much, Frederik! Your comments always make me smile. 🙂
