The Goddess Dress + The Gladiator

With Spring here and Summer around the corner, I think I’ve found what I’ll likely be wearing over and over.  The combination of a long, goddess-inspired dress and high strappy gladiator sandals seems like the perfect answer to a thousand sartorial questions.  No, it’s not a sundress or cut-off shorts, but it’s a breezy breath of cutting-edge air, and I love it.  It says Summer to me.  And, I don’t know about you, but I want to inhabit this kind of Summer all the time.

    love that last picture

  • Sensational outfit, Alex. You made me realize how much gladiator sandals are wonderful pivot pieces in any ensemble. By that, I mean that by themselves they can change an outfit’s impression. Not so much in the sense of dressing “up “casual outfits or dressing “down” formal wear, but in the sense of creating balance. Maybe it’s because they are sandals that are both stylish AND practical, as opposed to stylish at the expense of the practical. They have a grounded quality.

Well, I’m pontificating. So I’ll just say that you make a great case for why gladiators should be wardrobe staples. As I said, sensational!
