Caught Up

The Girl on the Train

I know I’m late to this particular book party, but after a few friends mentioned loving The Girl on the Train, I decided it was time for me to read it.  I resisted it for a while because thrillers aren’t normally my thing.  (I did the same with Gone Girl, and then eventually was riveted by that book.)

So the other day I picked up The Girl on the Train and started reading.  It picks you up and whisks you into its world right away.  The story unfolds itself bit by bit, and I can’t tell what’s around the next corner.  Talk about keeping you on the edge of your seat!

Have you read The Girl on the Train?  What did you think?  What are some books you’ve loved lately?  I’m compiling a new list for the new year…

Wanted to love it…I didn’t think it came close to Gone Girl. Just my opinion. Can’t wait to hear what you think!

    • Pam- So interesting!! To be honest, I read Gone Girl long enough ago that I can’t quite remember my impressions. It probably stayed with me longer than this one will. I found parts of this one plodding, but the plot twists were pretty exciting.

Have you read anything you loved lately?

I couldn’t put it down – so visual and compelling.

    • I actually got up early to finish it yesterday (which is much harder for me– as a night owl– than staying up late). I couldn’t wait to figure out how it ended!
