New Beauty Favorites

I have been on a major skincare and beauty kick lately.  As I get older, the better care I want to take care of my skin and self.  And I have found some amazing products to help do this lately.  I couldn’t wait to share them with you, because I have noticed a real difference in my skin of late.

Here they are (in no particular order):

St. Tropez Gradual Tan Everyday Tinted Body Lotion — My skin doesn’t tan so much as quickly turn from ghostly white to red, so a self-tanner is seriously helpful as winter comes to an end.  This tanner is amazing, because the color is really natural, and it gives you a glow right away (and then gradually builds to a tan).  I have quickly  become a fan of this product and know I’ll be using it all summer to create a healthy glow.

Oromovicza Intensive Hydra-Lifting Cream and Gold Eye Lift — I learned about these product from my facialist who has dreamy skin.  I asked her what she used on her own skin, and she pointed me to this moisturizer and this eye cream.  I still don’t know how to pronounce the brand’s name, but that matters not when I look at the changes it’s made to my skin.  And Sephora has recently started carrying the brand, too, which makes it even easier to find.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate — Of all the skincare steps, I tend to forget about exfoliation, for some reason.  I have a Clarisonic that I use only when it occurs to me (which isn’t very often).  But after hearing rave reviews of this product, I decided to give it a try.  Let me just say– WOW.  The rave reviews are deserved.  And you only need to use it once or twice a week (so there’s no problem if you forget it for a few days).

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Treatment– I’ve been wearing my hair with its natural curl lately, and this product works miracles on it.  It manages to smooth, define, style, and condition my hair, all in one great-smelling dollop.  It makes doing my hair super easy.  Which gets serious points, in my book.

Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Firming Serum — In my whole life, I’ve never seen a product that has made this much difference in my skin overnight.  I could see a difference almost right away!  And, yet it isn’t drying and doesn’t make my skin feel stiff or weird.  Just awesome.  If you buy only one of these products, I would highly recommend this one.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation — I like to change my foundations with the seasons, and now that spring is here this beautiful foundation is back at the top of my list.  It is lighter-coverage than the one I use in the winter, and has a beautiful light glow to it, while allowing your natural skin to shine through.  There is a reason zillions of people love this foundation.  It’s awesome.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist — I’ve gotten into mists lately, and am loving the dewy glow they give to my skin before applying the rest of my skincare products and makeup.  This one has a lovely moisturizing finish and clean scent.  It’s a perfect beginning to my skincare routine.

Eve Lom Powder Foundation Brush — Recently, I started applying my foundation and concealer with this brush again, and I really notice the difference.  It feels amazing, and distributes the product beautifully over your skin.  I love the way it feels — almost like you’re at the spa and someone else is applying your makeup (expertly) for you.

There they are: all my latest favorites.  Do you have any new (or new to you) products that you’re loving lately?  I’d love to hear about them!

Have a happy weekend!

xx

Well, Ali, you did it again! I am a big fan of Caudalie (straying away from Bare Escentuals – my loyalty to Leslie is flagging! If you don’t know her, you should meet her. She’s wonderful and inspirational – and newly totally retired from BE! So I’ve placed my order via Sephora for the tanning lotion and of course, found a few other items I just had to have..!! xo

    • Hi Linda- So glad you liked it! Which products do you use from Caudalie? I haven’t met Leslie. She sounds amazing!

My favorite is Amilab lip therapy. It’s the best. Please give it a try. The problem is, you can only get it in France.

    • Well, you’d better bring me some next time you’re in France, then! 😉
