Fall Textures

If there is a fabric that is quintessentially fall, it could easily be velvet.  There’s nothing like the  texture and softness velvet brings to an outfit.  I spent quite a while searching for my favorite velvet dress this fall, and this is it.  It is at once soft and flattering, chic and wearable.

It has a distinct ballerina feeling to it, which is only enhanced by a pair of silver lace up ballerina flats.  A motorcycle jacket on top and a studded bag toughen up the look (and the textures).

And that’s a fall equation I can get behind.

  • Great outfit, Alex. Love the edge that the jacket gives your ensemble, and the asymmetric effect of the lace-ups is sensational. You’ve got the yin and yang of styling going on there. 🙂

Reminds me of how much I like the mismatched socks concept – something I don’t tend to do since I generally wear sandals unless it’s cold enough to wear boots.
