Let’s Fly Away

Whew!  I’m back.  I’m still formulating my thoughts on the election (I had no idea when I wrote that “regardless of the outcome, I am going to be an emotional mess for a bit when it’s over,” exactly how true those words would prove to be), but I’ve written about where my head is now over on my other blog, Beacon & Joy.

Meanwhile, my mind is finally able to contemplate style again.  For a few days there, it felt superfluous and unnecessary.  But, deep down, I think that style and fashion (and food, and books, and art, among others) make life better.

I’m getting ready for a whirlwind trip for Thanksgiving to visit family.  So I’m contemplating what I want to wear traveling.  I love to feel chic and comfortable at the same time (and, therefore, I refuse to wear sweatpants or their equivalent).  I also need layers to feel warm on flights.

And, by the way, my favorite layer these days is a long gray cardigan.  It feels like a cross between a cardigan, a coat, and a robe.  So, so delightful.

So this is what I have in mind.  It is chic and cozy.  Warm and cool, if you know what I mean.
