I am getting ready to board a flight to Washington, D.C. for Saturday’s Women’s March, and these are the books I’m packing to bring with me.
I love Michelle Obama, and reading about her life and her effect on people has been a powerful antidote to some of the concern I’ve been feeling for our country’s future. The book Michelle Obama: A Life is a highly rated biography of our most recent First Lady. And The Meaning of Michelle is a book of essays wherein the writers talk about what Michelle Obama has meant to them. The essays are moving and fascinating. They remind me what Michelle Obama means to me, and elucidate that she has meant so many different things to so many people.
This has been really inspiring reading, and they are books I’m excited to get back to.
Here’s to a powerful weekend, full of inspiration, and amazing women!
